Its ultra tender and palatable texture is ideal for kittens up to 4 months old. Newborn kittens receive protective antibodies contained in mother's milk, but this protection weakens over the days following birth. That's why ROYAL CANIN® Mother & Babycat Mousse wet food contains a scientifically proven antioxidant complex including vitamins C and E that helps support the development of the kitten's immune system. This formula is also enriched with omega-3 fatty acids (DHA) to support kitten's brain development and promote visual health. With a combination of beneficial prebiotics (MOS) and highly digestible proteins, ROYAL CANIN® Mother & Babycat Mousse wet food promotes the balance of the gut microbiota for optimal digestive health. ROYAL CANIN® Mother & Babycat Mousse is not only easy for weaning kittens to eat, but it helps provide the lactating cat with the hydration she needs to produce milk. At the age of 4 months, kittens will need a diet specially adapted for their next phase of growth. At this point, you can begin the transition to ROYAL CANIN® Kitten food, available in the form of kibble or as a wet food available in different textures in sauce, jelly or mousse. All wet foods in the growth range are formulated without preservatives or artificial colors.
